Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an Interior Designer and a Decorator?
While it’s a common mistake to get these titles confused, Interior Designers and Decorators are not one and the same. Interior Decorators cosmetically improve spaces by adding decorative items (i.e. paint colors, furnishings, window coverings, etc). Interior Designers spatially design (i.e. move walls, space plan, provide Reflective Ceiling Plan’s, etc.). Beyond aesthetics, Interior Design integrates psychology and function to create stimulating and enjoyable environments.

Do your services include finishing touches (i.e., accessorizing)?
Yes, they do! We offer this service in our Full-Service and Furniture and Decor Package. See our available packages above to decipher which best suits you.
Who will act as the Project Manager for our design?
Typically, the general contractor will take care of managing the project on a day-to-day basis. As your design team, we will coordinate with the vendors and subcontractors as needed, for installation questions relating to deliveries, product quality control and general design inquiry. We will visit the job site throughout the duration of the project to ensure that the integrity of the design stays intact.
Do I need a contractor before I start?
Yes, you do! We request that you secure a contractor, architect, and/or other professional of your choosing prior to beginning the design process with our team. This will allow for proper collaboration with all trades and help the process run smoothly and more efficiently. Should you need a referred contractor, our team would be glad to offer suggestions. Ultimately, it will be up to you to decide who you want on your team.

How long does the process take?
The design process and the overall construction stage will be two separate phases. As your designers, we will create a conceptual design, present that to you, and move forward with finalizing selections, approvals, and procurement. Depending on the scope and current lead times, your project may take anywhere from 4-12+ months. It all depends on the complexity of your scope and material/fixture availability.
